NARS Albatross Highlighter
I believe NARS Albatross is classed as a blush on the NARS website but is actually a highlighter. NARS Albatross looks scary white in the pan but goes on with a beautiful sheer light golden sheen. It is not shimmery, glittery, or disco ball like in any way. When applied to cheek bones, forehead, nose, and jaw line it give the appearance of a wonderful and luminous candle lit glow to your face.
NARS Albatross is sheer enough to be worn even in the day time and is also versatile enough to use as a brow highlighter, in the inside corners of the eye for some pop, and swept across the collar bone for a night out.
I have light, cool toned skin and I can wear NARS Albatross with no problems, even with the gold undertones in it. I imagine a warm skinned person could also pull this color off quite well. Anyone with quite dark skin may find it a bit too light though.
I have never tried MAC Vanilla pigment but from what I have read NARS Albatross sounds very similar in color to the MAC Vanilla pigment, but the MAC pigment may be just a little bit on the pink side in comparison. The great thing about the NARS Albatross, though, is that it is no fuss, no muss, unlike the loose MAC pigments. Just swipe the NARS Albatross pan with a brush, a swipe on the cheek bones, and you are good to go. It’s very quick and simple and adds great dimension to the face in an easy way.
I can see NARS Albatross lasting me for quite some time, as you need only a little to get the glow, but I will definitely be repurchasing when my brush hits the bottom of the pan. This has become and HG product for me.
